Context
This R&D project was created to experiment with a new visual direction that blends my signature style with a more technological, raw, and data-driven aesthetic. Rather than producing a polished commercial piece, the goal was to explore how the creative process itself could become the narrative. The project invites the viewer behind the scenes, transforming the act of designing into the story by revealing the constant iterations, refinements, and decisions that shape a final result.
Approach
The styleframes were designed in Figma through multiple iterations before being brought to life in After Effects. Instead of relying on real user interfaces, I created abstract UI representations that remain instantly recognizable while supporting the visual language of the piece. Every animation from micro-adjustments, cuts, and undo actions to grids, cursors, and dense interface elements was carefully choreographed to simulate a live creative workflow. The main challenge was finding the right balance between controlled visual chaos and readability, making the audience feel as if they were actively building the project alongside me rather than simply watching a finished animation.
